There’s value in being valued! My great passion is helping others to feel like the space they occupy in this world matters and makes a difference. As Senior Educational Officer (SEO) at United School Schools Associates (USA), it’s my pleasure to promote a culture grounded in mutual respect, thoughtfulness, recognition, and positive collaboration. As a former teacher and coach, I understand the need for people to feel appreciated so they can carry out their greatest potential and perform at the highest level. As a highly skilled reading specialist, I’m trained to recognize the delicate balance between reading words and comprehending context.

My Focus

Similarly, as SEO and senior thought leader, I enjoy the challenge of motivating people to do their best work while recognizing the talents and achievements they possess to build our company. With 20 years of experience, I understand how the educational needs of teachers blend perfectly with our Give Back campaign, which is a crucial part of our business. My educational background includes a B.S. in Elementary Education at the State University of New York at Cortland University, an M.S. in Reading, and an Administration I and II certification from Trinity University. My greatest blessings are my three beautiful children and my amazingly talented husband.

Influences

My greatest influence is my mom who taught me strength beyond measure. The book, The Shack by William P. Young, influences me to listen more, forgive more, and judge less. The book, Leadership and Self-Deception, by The Arbinger Institute, influences me to see how “self-deception obscures the truth about ourselves, corrupts our view of others and our circumstances, and inhibits our ability to make wise and helpful decisions”. last but not least, my amazing husband who goes above and beyond to care for his family with an amazing work ethic and leadership abilities.
